The Divine celebration of Shri Krishna's Arrival

As we are inching toward janmashtami, I wanted to Share that When the time came for the birth of Shri Krishna, the sky and the rivers became divine.

Large ponds were adorned with the beauty of lotuses.

The rows of trees in the forests, where birds and bees were melodiously chirping, became splendid with fruits and flowers.

Fragrant winds began to blow, and their touch became delightful.

The sacrificial fire spontaneously burst into flames; the hearts of the sages were filled with joy; the Kinnaras and Gandharvas started singing praises of the Lord; the Siddha-Charan stuti began to chant hymns, and the women of the Vidyadharas, along with the Apsaras, started dancing.

The Rishis and Devas showered flowers.

It was the dark of night, yet the serene stars, planets, and the constellation of Rohini, belonging to Brahma, were present.

Just as the full moon rises in the east with all its sixteen phases, so does the all-pervading Vishnu, who resides within everyone's intellect, manifest from the womb of Mother Devaki in his four-armed form.

His eyes were as beautiful as lotuses, and He held a conch, discus, mace, and lotus in his hands.

On His chest was the mark of Shrivatsa, and around his neck shone the Kaustubha gem.

He was dressed in yellow silk, his complexion dark like a rain-bearing cloud.

On his head was a crown adorned with the Vaidoorya gem, and his ears were embellished with exquisite earrings.

He was adorned with beautiful armlets, bracelets, and other ornaments. Seeing this wondrous child, Vasudeva and Devaki began to offer praises.

Jai Shri Krishna
